Studio Schrofer’s TAMU for Molinari was inspired by modern elements of Japanese architecture. Frans Schrofer crafted this luxury sofa by utilising pure materials and refined forms with luxurious styling elements. He reduced the number of forms to their essential principles, designing elements that create a welcome embrace and invite conviviality.
Frans Schrofer says: “I wanted to compliment space with lightness, elegance, and beauty using innovative materials and incorporating transparency to enhance this gracefulness. A thin frame gently embraces the body inviting comfort and conversation. The TAMU sofa additionally has a variety of possibilities to complement different spaces where all sides views of the sofa are important. Combining modular elements enhances conversations, contributes to a creative banter, and has people engaged with each other face-to-face.”
Employing hand crafted techniques and vegetable tanned leathers, the TAMU embraces a new transparency and delivers comfort at the highest level of quality to the consumer market and the hospitality industry.
